This is called ‘Dalada Maluwa’, as the Casket containing the ‘Dalada’ ( Tooth relic) had been kept here during the Polonnaruwa Period.  Within this complex are  Atada Ge , , Bosath Pilima Ge ( Image house of Bodhisatvas) , Bodhi Ghara, Image house of the Reclining Buddha Statue, Galpota, Sat Mahal Prasadaya, Heta da ge, Thuparama , Nissanka Latha Mandapaya , Welaikkara Inscription, Uposathagaraya,  Western Gate, the sub gate and the outer city wall.
